Valentine's Day Photo Shoot

So...the last couple years (or ever since Rachel was alive :)), I've been sending out Valentine's Day cards, with the girls' picture enclosed. Although I keep the card as simple as possible, it's another way I can keep up with a few relatives, and say, "Hey! We're thinking of you!" :)

The girls' photo shoot for this grand event, though, is always reaaaaaaaaaaally hard. My goodness. You wouldn't believe it, but these girls smile all. the. time. They really do. They laugh, they giggle, they say, "I'm exciiiiiiiiiiiiited!!!" (or, that's what Rachel says...Jemima's not quite there yet in her language skills ;)).

But when it comes to picture-taking, they just kind of freeze. I don't know what happens.

Anyway, here are some outtakes from our first few photo sessions (yes, there were multiple sessions!)...







I sent a few options to my loyal sister Hannah for her expert opinion, and she said, "Don't use any of them. Wait till I get there, and we'll try again."

So wait I did, and I'm so glad.

Through our joint efforts (and a lot of random silliness to get these girls smiling at the same time!!), we were able to finally settle on this one.



Whoooo. *sigh of relief* Can't wait till next year, when we'll have *three* little munchkins to work with!!
